The other night as we were watching "Vertigo" (a very good Hitchcock, although not my favorite) I couldn't help but notice how utterly fantastic this apartment is. Are you seeing that black antler festooned with a lacy whatnot? Heaven help me. I also died a little over the lamp, the yellow director's chair, and the art hanging above the couch.
This is just the kind of room where I can easily imagine myself sketching up a storm. The sunlight, space, and punches of color would leave me feeling more than inspired.
p.s. Be sure to check out our giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI wish I'd had your keen eye when I was writing a paper on Vertigo a few years ago. I think Midge's apartment could have made some great points.
ReplyDeletePoor Midge. I guess she had great taste in decor, poor taste in men.
You've left an unanswered question: what is your favorite Hitchcock?
one of my professors told us about how he took a girl on a first date to see "vertigo" at a hitchcock retrospective, and he said that she never wanted to go out with him ever again. hahaha. i guess it IS a bit of a downer...
ReplyDeletei put you on my inspiration link list on my blog! just thought you should know :)
ReplyDeleteAhh I think I only watch this movie for the apartment! Its so adorable- I love her little kitchen too!
ReplyDeleteAh, Vertigo & Rear Window are fantastic films. I use to watch 'Rear Window' for the same reason.
