pretty pages

"The world needs happiness makers."

A quote from Matt's great-aunt Julina, and a darn good one at that.

We had a quiet weekend with only a short list of to-do's. We filled the rest of our time with record listening, movie watching, thrift shopping and plenty of sleeping. It was rather snowy outside so we also did some indoor exploring and found these pretty books. Oodles of inspiration in these pages.

  1. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me. I miss Salt Lake thrifting. I always seemed to find wonderful things. Sigh.

  2. there is a series of beautiful color photographs from the turn of the 20th century (before color photography was invented) that i was looking at for my history of photography class a few weeks ago—they were made with several different exposures and different color lenses and they are so beautiful. that long sentence is all to say that your photograph reminds me of those.

also, when i read your opera comment on my post i completely laughed out loud. those are the types of things that i can only hope my teenage daughters will do together.
