I needed comfort today.
I came down with a crazy cold that has left me breathing almost solely out of my mouth (gross, I know), and carrying a tissue with me where ever I go. In step my mom's famous M&M Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies. These are like a hug from my mom in cookie form. Funny thing about these cookies though, my family grew up loving these little oaty bundles, but it turns out not everyone is such a fan. I can't figure it, but I thought I would include the recipe in case you want to give them a go.
(Note that I took a picture of the recipe instead of typing it out. Sick people don't type out recipes, silly.)
(Also of note, I am very proud of the stain on my recipe. Nothing says "tasty food worth messing up a kitchen for" like a soiled recipe.)
ReplyDeletei don't understand--what's not to LOVE about something made with oatmeal and chocolate chips?

ReplyDeletesick people don't type out recipes.....but do sick people bake up cookies for friends to come by and eat??
ReplyDeletejust merely a hypothetical question.
Hope you feel better soon :-)
Yum! I love comfort foods like this.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't like rolled oats in cookies? Yum-yum-yum. I love a good stained recipe too - a sure sign of appreciation!
ReplyDeleteso weird! i just went to the store two days ago and bought m&m's and some missing ingredients to make these cookies...
ReplyDeleteagreed! love stained recipes. Can't wait to try this. And get better ...also....you're not gross until you carry around a plastic bag to store your soiled tissues en route.
ReplyDeleteOh my lord. These look really good!
ReplyDeleteStained recipes = good outcomes.
If you aren't making a mess you aren't baking! At least that rule makes me feel better when I see the pristine kitchens on Food Network. ;)
