Ju-Bowie-Mantis

So my work put together something real special for me on my birthday yesterday. When I first laid eyes on it I think I simultaneously clapped with joy and backed away out of fear. There is this amazing trend of Bowie celebrating my birthday with me (remember this gem?) and I was glad this year was no exception.

I know the Bowie-Mantis really deserves an explanation but I think it would take the fun out of just letting your mind run with it. Just your mind and those nobly hinged legs running hand in mantis hand through a wheat field together, a wheat field of fear.

Yep. Way more fun.

little movies and big events

For graduating in film, it was pretty surprising that Matt didn't insist we have a wedding video when we got married. It turns out neither of us were too keen on having the typical video with the oh so awful slideshow. (I was dreading digging up my awkward photos from middle school.) Having a shadow filming us all day didn't seem like the most special way to remember our day.

In walks Matt's genius idea of having a video that portrays the special things that happen when you meet, date and finally tie the knot-sans the videographer. If you are interested in getting one of these videos for yourself contact me and we will work out all the details. Keep in mind these videos do not have to be for your wedding-we have an anniversary video in the works and we think birthdays deserve one too!

all hallows

A few things I have realized about Halloween are a) my outfits usually consist of clothes that I already own b) I REALLY look forward to putting make up on Matt and c) my family really knows how to throw a dang good Halloween party.

By the by isn't my sisters house decorated to perfection for Halloween? (I felt like the man in the photograph was praying for us pagan heathens all night!)
